ABOUT
A first year journalism student at the University of Montana, Brooke Strickler strives to create a story, whether visual or written.
Creativity and understanding is what I live for. My journey started my sophomore year of high school when I made a documentary for my honors English II class. I fell in love with building a story out of the little moments in writing and visual media and haven't stopped since. In high school I worked for "tech tribe," School of the Osage's video class and discovered the art of not only filming or taking pictures, but editing.
Lightroom, Premiere Pro and InDesign consumed at a minimum, two hours of my day my senior year of high school. I worked for MidMoSportsZone live-streaming sporting events through local school districts and have job shadowed two successful portrait photographers in my hometown. In college I have continued perfecting my understanding of these platforms as well as telling the story of Missoula locals through multiple platforms.
